STUDENT DISCIPLINE AND STUDENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

THE DISCIPLINE CODE CONSIDERS THE AGE, GRADE Level, and cognititive ability when considering consequences for infractions. Administrative discretion can apply and the administrator may impose any one or any combination of disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate by the circumstances. The administrator need not exhaust disciplinary actions in order. Any detention(s) not served will become an automatic In-School and/or Out-Of-School Suspension.

OFFENSES

SECTION 1
Tardy Out of class

1a Being out of class without authorization permission
1b Three(3) unexcused tardies to school
1c Class cut
1d Leaving the building without official permission during school hours

SECTION 2
Technology Violation

2a Inappropriate use of personal technology devices. Devices including but not limited to cell phones,MP3 players, 1 Pads, etc.
2b Intentional inappropriate use of the District’s and School’s technology devices
 
SECTION 3
Truancy

SECTION 4
Physical Aggression

4a Disregard for the safety of others; running, pushing, shoving in the halls, classrooms, lunchroom, auditorium, gym, pool area, or while lining up to enter school, and restrooms.
4b Including but not limited to hitting, punching, throwing an object, kicking, hair pulling, scratching, pushing, head butting, etc where injury may or may not occur.
 
SECTION 5
Fighting

Mutual participation in an incident involving physical violence (in the school building, on your way to and from school, on the bus during school related activities or on the grounds), where self defense or defense-of-another is not justified.
