TRANSPORTATION
Transportation to and from school will be furnished to any pupil enrolled who lives a mile and a half or more from their designated school. Should you have any questions concerning the eligibility of your child, please contact the building principal.

Bus riders are responsible for waiting for the bus at the proper time at the designated spot and for getting on the bus at school promptly after dismissal in the afternoon.

Under no circumstances are non-qualified bus riders allowed to ride the bus. Please assist us in helping your children to learn and practice good bus safety for themselves and other students. Unauthorized adults are NOT permitted to board, enter, and/or ride any school buses under contract to the School District. Students can be suspended for misbehavior.

Transportation for the 2015-2016 school year will be provided by All Town Transportation Company.

STUDENT CONDUCT ON SCHOOL BUSES
The following list of safety procedures will provide a basis for safe conduct:
1. Be careful in approaching bus stops. Walk on the left side facing oncoming traffic. Cross the road only after the bus driver has signaled that it is safe to do so.
2. Be sure to leave home early so that you will be on time. The driver has a schedule to keep, and he cannot wait for you.
3. Wait in an orderly fashion for the bus, and be sure you are off the road and out of danger of passing vehicles.
4. Board in an orderly fashion. Do not crowd or push, and always use the hand rail both when getting on and off the bus.
5. Go quickly and directly to your assigned seat without disturbing or crowding other pupils.
6. Obey the driver promptly and cheerfully. Realize that he has a big responsibility for your safety that it is everyone’s duty to help.
7. Behave on the school bus just as you would in the classroom.
8. Help keep the bus clean and sanitary. This means no eating on the bus.
9. Stay in your seat while the bus is in motion because any sudden stop may knock you to the floor.
10. Keep your voice low.
11. Keep your head, arms, and hands inside the bus at all times.
12. Be courteous to fellow pupils and the bus driver.
13. The failure to obey these rules and regulations will result in the loss of your bus riding privileges.
