Greetings West Harvey-Dixmoor Families!

​A new school year is here and while it is like nothing we have seen, we are just as excited!!  This year will be a year of great change and we look forward to it because…. Progress is impossible without change!   

We have worked hard to ensure that we have procedures, practices and processes in place that promote excellence.  We have enhanced our district to include: 

• Aligned Scope and Sequence Guides
• Increased relevant professional development opportunities
• Instituted Strategic planning process
• Sound fiscal practices
• Band program

This year, in this new age of remote learning, we will continue to work hard so that our students experience the most diverse and engaging learning experiences possible.  We miss all of you but know safety comes first.  I welcome input from all stakeholders: Building Administrators, Staff members, Board Members and Community members.  Please think about joining this process as we plan for our continued district growth, as our collaboration will be key! 

From the moment I accepted this role, my goal has been to ensure an optimal learning environment for our students, so that they can realize their greatest potential.  This has been one of our busiest summers, as many staff members have attended numerous professional development workshops and conferences and several teachers have been diligently working on plans for the upcoming year.  We have made many plans as a district and as the Superintendent, I am proud of what has been done and look forward to seeing things in action!
